Wind River Land Management, LLC is a Wyoming-based, owner-operated land management and excavation company We work the entire upper Wind River, Fremont County, and Teton County, every season of the year.
Wind River Land Management is a small, owner-operated Wyoming company built to do one thing well: take care of rural property. Forestry mulching, wildfire mitigation, defensible space, land clearing, excavation, demolition, brush clearing, tree work, and snow plowing, all from one local shop, one schedule, and one point of accountability.
We're based in Dubois, in the upper Wind River valley. We work Fremont County year-round and run regularly into Teton County. Our owner has prior wildland firefighting experience, and that perspective shapes how we approach every wildfire mitigation, defensible space, and forest health project we take on.
There is a real difference between someone who clears brush and someone who has stood on a fire line and watched what burns, what doesn't, and why. Defensible space done from the second perspective looks different. It anticipates wind, slope, fuel ladders, ember showers, and the practical limits of what a fire crew can do when they arrive.
Most of the high-leverage decisions in wildfire mitigation aren't about how much you clear, they're about where you clear, in what order, and how the cleared area connects to the structure you're protecting. That's the value of the firefighter perspective.
Local matters. We live in this country. We know the terrain, the weather, the soil, the species, and the rhythms of the seasons. We're not driving in from out of state to do a job and leave.
Soil should leave the property in the same condition it arrived. We use forestry mulching wherever possible specifically because it protects the soil instead of stripping it.
Honest estimates beat low estimates. The cheapest bid is usually cheap because it's missing something. We tell you what's in the bid and what's not, and we don't quote what we can't deliver.
Owner-operated means owner-accountable. The same person who walks your property is the person doing the work and standing behind it.
We work all of Fremont County and all of Teton County. That includes Dubois (home base), Lander, Riverton, Shoshoni, Crowheart, Hudson, Pavillion, DuNoir, Jackson, Wilson, Teton Village, Hoback, Moran, Moose, Kelly, and Alta, plus surrounding rural communities like Atlantic City, South Pass, Boulder Flats, Lysite, Moneta, Sweetwater Station, and Togwotee.
